A custom In-The-Ear (ITE) hearing instrument fills the outer portion of the ear and is appropriate for mild to moderately severe hearing losses. Optional features can include directional microphones, multiple listening programs, and telecoils. |

The In-The-Canal (ITC) style hearing instrument is a smaller model ITE, and is appropriate for mild to moderate hearing losses. |

The Completely-In-The-Canal (CIC) hearing instrument is smallest. The appropriateness of this style is limited based on the degree of hearing loss, combined with manual dexterity. |
